It's painful to play and read and just annoys everyone. Everyone knows it's a censored incest game. Stories that use this "workaround" make no sense because they're typically obviously written first with full incest then changed after, making everything weird. There's no taboo about wanting to fuck your hot landlady or housemates. Why are you do loyal to your landlady and housemates? So much stuff is just stupid.

My point is, if you can and are willing to, I'd be delighted to play a game by you where you get to fuck and cum in all your female relatives, and any other characters you have in the story. I did just last week hit the halfway point for making the images at 372++ so I'm on the downwards slope to finishing this chapter which will be the biggest chapter (for images and text) so far. Maybe another 3 months and I will release the new chapter!
I'm currently playing the new chapter (11), and I just want to restate my love and appreciation at how openly and frequently all the characters say "I love you" to each other. Especially MC, far too many Harem games have all the girls say they love MC but nearly never have MC say I love you to his girls.
This game is so sweet and wholesome, and very very sexy.

I will have to say that for all of the VNs that I have watched, this one is by far the best one. The storyline is crisp and the characters are very relatable to the MC and the dialogue is fantastic. There are a few spelling errors in some of the dialogue, but nothing that a review wouldn't fix. I will say that I love the drop ins from other shows/movies such as "Serenity" and others. I laughed when I caught those Easter eggs and just smiled and said to myself, "Oh, they took that one from....". Also think you might need to add a few extra scenes, even just static images, to help build the relationship between Tina and MC, up to and including Ibiza. At the moment its kind of they like each other and next thing you know she's his soulmate. I accept these things can happen quickly especially when people are in fragile circumstances, ie bad breakup and life altering medical emergency, but I think there still needs to be a bit more bonding time between them, to justify it being more than a few dates and then move on.
I know you've gone back and tinkered with some of the earlier scenes, (I like the changes,) but I hope that the first threesome scene and the first sex scene with Apple are still on the list, at least for android. In the threesome scene the two girls are ok, but the mc looks like he's pale green, and the way Apples hair moves really doesnt work that well when she's riding the MC.

As for the work in general, I can only say that I like where the story appears to be going. Whilst Im not a fan of the overuse of Bi chracters, I accept that it makes setting up a poly relationship a lot easier. I also like the idea of including other pairings/subgroups in the overall group as Im sure that group members with benefits is the only realistic way for a larger group to function, a large harem simply couldnt work with only one focus, too many of the group members would be getting too little attention.
Something that I thought of in the last reading, I would imagine that the group would require a current STD checkup before someone can join the group, prefereably before having sex with anyone outside the group.
I would also expect top class lawyers to be able to write a contract that mimics the way a marriage works. Like a prenup without the actual wedding. Name change to give a family name, covering asset protection/divorce/inheritance to protect the rest of the family, most of all the children. Also, there is nothing to stop the MC giving rings to people without a traditional wedding.
Not sure who would officiate at the wedding though, perhaps Noahs mum to officiate and her boyfriend to give the bride(s) away. Yui might also be a good choice, but the problem there is that she might want to be part of the Strong family too.
I could see the MC asking Q&A to arrange this as a surprise for Tina, and then having a second arrangement with whoever is officiating to ensure that rings are available for eveyone so they could all get 'married' right after on the same day. (No need to change to wedding dresses, naked ceremony, like Star Trek.)
Everything happens too fast and it looks like jumping to the good parts of the story, cutting the challenges, the conflicts, the problem solving... and going direct to the prize. Theres a lot of: minutes later, the next day, a week later and i think these cuts can be filled with the missing parts of a good story structure.
Its nice to see the quality of the animations improving in the new chapters.
hi i have come across a possable bug in 0.7, i finish 0.5 saved it where you go to sleep at the end copied the save file into 0.7 tried to load the save file and it crashes hard i saved the traceback log as always i hope this help to a hotfix for 0.7.

Could someone please tell me how to copy over the saves from .7 to .8? When I copy the game/saves folder I get the same error as already reported by Ghryst below. I also tried re-zipping my last save but no success...
Try removing the save directory completely (move it somewhere else) then rerun the game and try to load a saved game.
all saved games are stored in the directory C:\Users\(your login name here)\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Almost_Dead-1966021355
The AppData is a hidden directory, but you can get there easily by pressing the Windows key and R at the same time and type in %appdata% . That will open the FileExplorer to the AppData\Roaming\ directory.

in my case, the save games are from 0.5 i actually had the same 'fix' as the last dude - re-unzipping the files, and saving it over the first lot of unzipped files.. then i was able to open the save games... the save files are still from 0.5 (of course renpy saves are in the separate windows appdata folder, so they werent modified by this process) but are now working for me. i just figured you'd like to know more about the issue, so i posted the log for your benefit.
I get the same error when I copy the save folder from .7 to .8. Since there are 2 locations with the saves (appdata and game folder) I am not sure what the proper way would be to transfer the saves. Any help would be appreciated.
Idk what I missed but I literally cannot go past then end of chapter 4. I have downloaded 2 different versions of the newest update and it still says chapter 4 is the end and there is more to come.
I don't know what to tell you. I downloaded the "Almost Dead-0.6" version from here just now, and it works perfectly. If you downloaded from a different website then I can't do anything.
That is correct, but I am working hard to get the next chapter completed, so I can release it maybe another few weeks. I try to post dev logs every Monday-ish and release images that I have rendered on Patreon the day after I render them.
It feels like there was a development between the Main Character and Tina, and between Q&A and Tina that was skipped over, almost like there was a day or two missing between chapter 3 and 4. But that might just be me.

I tried holding shift while opening the game (even tho it should not be necessary since I have windows 10, not XP), and I get the choice between "Automatically choose", "Force GL Renderer", "Force ANGLE Renderer", "Force GL2 Renderer", and "Force ANGLE2 Renderer". Seeing as what you put before, I tried to click on Force GL2 Renderer, as that is what should be needed. Immediately after clicking on it, the window closed (I could not click on quit). Trying to start the game gives still the same problem and holding shift while starting the game gives me the window again with "Choose automatically" selected.
I tried all the different render options to no avail. I also looked for and updated my driver the last time I tried this out. Altho I have to say, funnily enough, I was in the options, and I thought, why not and disabled the "Controller" option. Lo and behold it works now with just that disabled...

I stopped keeping track of them after chapter 7
Would like to know what happened to Nurse Lane, everyone else from the hospital has appeared again in some capacity. Also, Alice has only appeared once, which is fine but I don't think a reason was given.
Also think you might need to add a few extra scenes, even just static images, to help build the relationship between Tina and MC, up to and including Ibiza. At the moment its kind of they like each other and next thing you know she's his soulmate. I accept these things can happen quickly especially when people are in fragile circumstances, ie bad breakup and life altering medical emergency, but I think there still needs to be a bit more bonding time between them, to justify it being more than a few dates and then move on.
I know you've gone back and tinkered with some of the earlier scenes, (I like the changes,) but I hope that the first threesome scene and the first sex scene with Apple are still on the list, at least for android. In the threesome scene the two girls are ok, but the mc looks like he's pale green, and the way Apples hair moves really doesnt work that well when she's riding the MC.
Also phone conversation between MC and Judge Nishimura, the word 'friendh' is misspelled, and later during their date I believe '0racle' needs an O not a 0.

As for the work in general, I can only say that I like where the story appears to be going. Whilst Im not a fan of the overuse of Bi chracters, I accept that it makes setting up a poly relationship a lot easier. I also like the idea of including other pairings/subgroups in the overall group as Im sure that group members with benefits is the only realistic way for a larger group to function, a large harem simply couldnt work with only one focus, too many of the group members would be getting too little attention.
Something that I thought of in the last reading, I would imagine that the group would require a current STD checkup before someone can join the group, prefereably before having sex with anyone outside the group.
I would also expect top class lawyers to be able to write a contract that mimics the way a marriage works. Like a prenup without the actual wedding. Name change to give a family name, covering asset protection/divorce/inheritance to protect the rest of the family, most of all the children. Also, there is nothing to stop the MC giving rings to people without a traditional wedding.
Not sure who would officiate at the wedding though, perhaps Noahs mum to officiate and her boyfriend to give the bride(s) away. Yui might also be a good choice, but the problem there is that she might want to be part of the Strong family too.
I could see the MC asking Q&A to arrange this as a surprise for Tina, and then having a second arrangement with whoever is officiating to ensure that rings are available for eveyone so they could all get 'married' right after on the same day. (No need to change to wedding dresses, naked ceremony, like Star Trek.)
Everything happens too fast and it looks like jumping to the good parts of the story, cutting the challenges, the conflicts, the problem solving... and going direct to the prize. Theres a lot of: minutes later, the next day, a week later and i think these cuts can be filled with the missing parts of a good story structure.
Its nice to see the quality of the animations improving in the new chapters.

hi i have come across a possable bug in 0.7, i finish 0.5 saved it where you go to sleep at the end copied the save file into 0.7 tried to load the save file and it crashes hard i saved the traceback log as always i hope this help to a hotfix for 0.7.

Try removing the save directory completely (move it somewhere else) then rerun the game and try to load a saved game.
all saved games are stored in the directory C:\Users\(your login name here)\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Almost_Dead-1966021355
The AppData is a hidden directory, but you can get there easily by pressing the Windows key and R at the same time and type in %appdata% . That will open the FileExplorer to the AppData\Roaming\ directory.
Thanks for the instructions. However, it didn´t help but I found out that only the last few save games could no longer be loaded. Luckily I do not have to start from the beginning ;-)

Are these save games from this version 0.6 if they are from older versions that could be the reason
in my case, the save games are from 0.5 i actually had the same 'fix' as the last dude - re-unzipping the files, and saving it over the first lot of unzipped files.. then i was able to open the save games...
the save files are still from 0.5 (of course renpy saves are in the separate windows appdata folder, so they werent modified by this process) but are now working for me.
i just figured you'd like to know more about the issue, so i posted the log for your benefit.
There was a change from .5 to .6 on where the save games were stored. The directory name changed because I had it configured incorrectly.
I get the same error when I copy the save folder from .7 to .8. Since there are 2 locations with the saves (appdata and game folder) I am not sure what the proper way would be to transfer the saves. Any help would be appreciated.

Idk what I missed but I literally cannot go past then end of chapter 4. I have downloaded 2 different versions of the newest update and it still says chapter 4 is the end and there is more to come.
I don't know what to tell you. I downloaded the "Almost Dead-0.6" version from here just now, and it works perfectly. If you downloaded from a different website then I can't do anything.
found it, for whatever reason I had 4.0.2 before and it wouldn't actually update my file, I had to uninstall and reinstall the game

arm64 is for newer devices, v7a is for older devices, x86 is for chrome devices and Universal should work for all devices!

It feels like there was a development between the Main Character and Tina, and between Q&A and Tina that was skipped over, almost like there was a day or two missing between chapter 3 and 4. But that might just be me.

The game window appears...then immediately closes. Can't play the game. I tried both .exe versions.
RenPy the underlying program I'm using for this requires:

Try those, failing that I can't really help you.
I tried holding shift while opening the game (even tho it should not be necessary since I have windows 10, not XP), and I get the choice between "Automatically choose", "Force GL Renderer", "Force ANGLE Renderer", "Force GL2 Renderer", and "Force ANGLE2 Renderer". Seeing as what you put before, I tried to click on Force GL2 Renderer, as that is what should be needed. Immediately after clicking on it, the window closed (I could not click on quit). Trying to start the game gives still the same problem and holding shift while starting the game gives me the window again with "Choose automatically" selected.
Have you played other Renpy games? Did you try the other render options? The only thing I can find is it maybe your graphic driver needs updating. https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/display_problems.html
I tried all the different render options to no avail. I also looked for and updated my driver the last time I tried this out. Altho I have to say, funnily enough, I was in the options, and I thought, why not and disabled the "Controller" option. Lo and behold it works now with just that disabled...
